“The Body Politic: Peer to Peer Sex Ed” is a short documentary set in Guatemala. The film highlights the important work of a youth organization called Tan Ux’il which broadcasts a weekly radio show called Sexo Tips. Sexo Tips fuses popular music and sexuality education, allowing listeners to call in or text their questions about puberty, relationships, and reproductive health. Aside from the radio show, the young people of Tan Ux’il host sex ed fairs at high schools throughout the Guatemalan countryside and staff the youth clinic at the local public hospital. Planned Parenthood Global has provided health resources for this youth group from its start.
