Bio

Guadalupe (they/them) is from the Central Escondido region. They received their BA in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Linguistics from Dartmouth College. At Dartmouth, they participated in the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program. Their thesis focused on a case study of Las Hermanas, a 1970s San Diego lesbian coffeehouse, analyzed through newspaper archival analysis and oral history to further understand how the figure of the lesbian helps shape queer kinship. Currently, Guadalupe's research interests focus on furthering work on Chicana lesbians within the San Diego region, queer home making, and community memory.
